Meditation for reconnecting with yourself after a chaotic day
On a day entirely consumed by other people’s demands — work, family, the unexpected — scanning the body with attention is a quick way to ask again how you are, not just what got handled.
Sample session
Sit or lie down somewhere no one will need you for a few minutes. We’ll move through the body from the feet up, pausing on each area without rushing: feet, legs, belly, chest, shoulders, arms, hands, neck, face. On a day that’s been all external demands, it’s easy to reach the evening without ever having asked how you actually are, beyond whether you got everything done. As you move through each area, just notice what’s there — tiredness, tension, or maybe relief that the day is over — without needing to fix it or feel something different. This is a moment that belongs only to you, not to anyone else.
